Why? Because I can and there are millions of people in the world who don't have the luxury of voting for elected officials or issues that impact their communities.
I voted because I want my children to see that while you can moan about how horrible your government is, it makes you a putz if you do so without at least voting first.
I voted because we live in a very polarized America right now. The media would have us believe that the only people who care about the nation are extremists. I want that to not be true.
Educate yourself about the world around you. Then go to the polling station.
Apathy is only cute if you are 15 and writing crappy poetry.
