I am also pleased to announce that I found a Monchhichi! Gotta love eBay. It is a real one. I did not have to fly to Japan. Monchhichi has been my pet name for Gonzo (aside from Gonzo) since she was an itty bitty thing. Little thumb-sucking monkey girl. I bought it immediately - it is vintage, new in box. Only afterwards did I think about how quality testing for children's toys has changed markedly over my lifetime. One lead dipped Monchhichi won't put her in the hospital, right?

[JessFinds] Monchhichi!
I am trying to figure out how to make a Brobee cake (green monster) for Gonzo's birthday on Thursday and I have found a few examples online. I promised my friend Erin I would go for it. She - and now many others - want proof.

I LOVE YOU TOO MONCHICHICHI! i loved those things and frequently still get that song stuck in my head...
marla
yup... in fact, i am singing it now, without even clicking on the link to the ad... "monchichi, monchichi, smiling, happy monchichi!"
That being said, I had no idea what Brobee was. I assumed when I saw your status on Facebook that it was some obscure Southern cake. HA! (Not being a Yo Gaba Gaba afficianado ... the one time I tried to check it out, it made me faintly naseaus, the same way "3D" video does. I am very photo sensitive.)
