Just had an update from the Northwest - Mom and Chuck are socked in without any power and it is still snowing! Apparently all is well, they have phone access for now. Their house is holding at 62 degrees (ok, I would be complaining - loudly - at 64 degrees). They have their wool socks and knit hats.
We are experiencing a heat wave - 45 degrees with light rain. Go figure!

We spent part of Christmas Eve without power ... just down the road from your mom and Chuck. (Really, the roads were fine!) Came back on in time to have the gifts opened next to the lit tree, however. On a bad note? The Lawyer still can't find his glasses. He "mislaid them" on Christmas Eve, and they have yet to turn up. Damnit, I didn't want to buy new pair of glasses this month...
