(MarieFinds) Rubber Cement and Elmo

That is what they siphoned from Squirrel's ears this morning. No, not Elmo. The rubber cement. EEEWWWW. So, she has tubes and is doing OK. Was awfully pissed that she didn't get to eat or drink until after the surgery, but she had juice in hand by 9am and had eaten a couple of eggs by 10:30. Seems to be doing fine. We are probably far more stressed about it than her. She was really groggy from the baby Valium they gave her before the wheeled her into surgery, and then was super wobbly for a while after surgery. Seems to be better now.

She is currently watching Elmo's Potty Time which is more than a little disturbing to me. She is FASCINATED with Elmo, but I think this is the first time she has ever actually WATCHED him. Funny. This morning, I dug up a couple disposable diapers to have her wear at the hospital, and all she could say for 1/2 an hour before the surgery was "Elmo butt! Elmo butt!" Very excited to have Elmo on her butt. Which sounds like all sorts of wrong, but is charming to hear from a toddler.

Hopefully a baby is coming soon...
