[JessFinds] Still Kaput, but drinking coffee...

I am a walking zombie but we had a great weekend. Preacher was officially seated as the rector of his church and we had a nice turnout. Miss Crab was able to play with her friends all weekend. We had a b-day party on Saturday that was so much fun: just a few girls, lunch and a pottery painting studio. Very low key, really nice. Crab picked out a car figurine to paint. Again, how cool is my kid? Gonzo helped me paint a few ornaments.

We have lived Back East for 6 1/2 years (really?) and one of the things we marveled at was how nice it was in our state until November. That has changed. It is gorgeous, we have fall leaves and the bright sun -- but it is cold. C-O-L-D. Last night dropped in to the 30's. For two years, Preacher was able to go sailing on November 1st in balmy 70+ weather. Not this year! I guess we are looking at a real New England winter. I was hoping to not turn on the heat until after November, but that goal failed miserably. We turned on the heat today. Cha-ching!
