(MarieFinds) Pony tails are hard

Sent the Squirrel off to school today with a pony tail for the first time. Note: just cause I can put one in my own hair in no way qualifies me to do it to her. Second note: The Lawyer is all, "isn't the hair supposed to be in square lines?" referring to the possibility that I could do a neat, straight line part on all four sides.

um, honey? Look at my own hair? What part of my personality indicated she would get a neat, sharply parted square for her pony tail?

heh. nothing against hair parts, but it just isn't me. she's lucky if her face gets washed before school some days.

It takes practice, a lot of practice. I still botch Miss Crab's hair regularly (and thank my stars that Gonzo does not have enough hair to worry over yet). I recommend no-snag elastics and using a little of the spray in conditioner ... other than that, you are on your own!

I need to work on my invention again, "the Daddy Doo" Although maybe "doo" shouldn't be in the name. I pulled out the sowing machine when Miss Crab was wearing her hair up. Mad a few contraptions that held hair up. Also though of using zip ties, but that wasn't high fashion enough....

the lawyer scoffed at my first effort, and promptly pulled it out. Then realized that he not only couldn't do a better job, he couldn't get it back in at all... So, I applaud your efforts, preacher man.
