Kylie is Miss Crab's bestestest friend at preschool. They are so sweet together - it is like they have their own little world that they quickly disappear in to.
So this is our first official "playdate" since we moved to this area. I actually like Kylie's mom, which is a bonus, so it is like a playdate for me too. We are going to the zoo and to lunch. BIG fun. No baby sister. Just the mom's and the girls.
The zoo that is nearest to us is fantastic for the under 10 set. I love it. It is not so big that you feel like you have to spend a whole day there and it is not so small that you feel like it is a waste of time. The animals are all carefully selected and well cared for. The habitats are beautiful (with the exception of the elephants. I have a real issue with elephants in captivity and I am always depressed when I see elephant habitats at any zoo). The people that work there are engaging and happy to answer questions. It is just a really nice small zoo.
We will probably lunch at a chain restaurant that caters to the little ones, which is fine by me.
