So my hair is falling out in stress clumps because I can not seem to line up a nanny for immediate coverage. I decided to take a moment and "blog it out."
I have been chuckling to myself recently when I happen to overhear some of the political wackiness going on. It seems like an adult version of the game "telephone" only it involves the Internet.
I have stopped watching news programs that set political pundits upon each other like mad dogs. They sound like a bunch of hens clucking and pecking. It hurts my ears. I must be getting old.
And the rumors! Oh my gosh, so funny. The Obama ones are just fear-mongering, but seem to be the most prevalent. (Obama is unpatriotic, Obama is a Muslim, Obama attended a radical Madrassa, Obama is not as experienced as Hilary, etc.. etc..) Each and every one of the rumors and emails that circulate has been debunked. But they keep coming. Which makes me think that someone out there is just trying to divert from the actual political issues and focus on scare tactics that Americans love to embrace. There are mean, hate filled people out there. It is too bad. They should have a tattoo on their forehead that states "Hi, Mean and Hate Filled" or maybe "Hi. I Kick Puppies."
Oh! That would be excellent for really needy folks too "Hi. Emotional Vampire." or maybe it is a punitive solution to criminal behavior - forehead tattoos. I am on to something here folks.
Speaking of hate, I hate thinking that Americans are idiots, but the world seems to think so and I am starting to agree. It is shocking to think that people can use a computer but can't discern between substantiated news and gossip /conspiracy theory. We want to believe everything we read, no matter how unreliable the source. Who was it that said it takes ten positives to undo one negative? Was that Donny Deutsch or did he just say that recently quoting someone else?
I am still waiting to hear the ones about McCain keeping a harem of underage boys in his basement love-den and Hillary only bathing in the blood of certified Canadian virgins. I am sure someone can substantiate this? Anyone? Come on.... you know you want the one about Hilary to be true.
I just wish people would focus on what matters - getting a good administration in place and fixing all the damage. I happen to be a big Obama supporter, but if Hilary gets the nomination I will (with a grumble) support her. I think McCain will be a viable president if he does not keel over within his first term. In which case I hope he has an excellent running mate.
To be honest, I think anyone who wants to lead this country has got to be out of their minds.
