Marie and I will dub this month: Craptober.
Craptober has been a bit tough on us, but my family is made of steel and poky-bits. There is a lot of good news hidden among the oogy stuff, but I can't go public with all the good stuff yet. Sorry! If you know me, you know how hard it is for me to keep my trap shut about things going on in my life. And no, not pregnant.
Am I mysterious yet? Hmmm? So bad at it.
Yesterday, my mother-in-law (MIL lives with us) had a close call with the Grim Reaper. Her car is a twisted mass of not working. Very scary stuff. She was transported to the hospital strapped to a board with her head in a halo/hat thingie. She is okay though and was released last night. The accident was not her fault at all - the other party was cited at the scene for reckless driving. MIL has burns on her hands/arms and is sore from head to toe, but nothing else. Shaky. Very lucky.
So today is "WOOHOO I AM ALIVE" day at the JessFinds household. Champagne anyone?
On another note, we bought this:
Our first trial run ... stinks. It burned the cupcakes to the pan. We are trying to scrub it clean. I am going to give it a few more runs before I decide if it is a keeper or not. It is a frivilous little pastel darling of frippery and fun. An absolute non-essential. But it is cute. And can apparently make epinadas.
