[JessFinds] A Pixie with an inner Banshee

In response to an email about my "This is too much Fun" post w/ Miss Crab's 4th birthday -- no. She does not really seem to be in to playing dress-up as other girls her age. She has some great dress-up clothes too. Maybe Baby Gonzo will go for it?

I have created this amazing fairy bower in her room - it is very girlie, but no pink. And it turns out that she could care less about her fairy wonderland. She loves her baby dolls, but likes to keep them all naked at all times, so baby clothing has no appeal to her. Is not interested in Barbie (whew) or any of those Bratz dolls (double whew). Barbie may be reinforcing a gender stereotype but Bratz are prostitots. I can't protect my girls from the greater world forever, but I would like for them to think that 2 inch thick lip gloss and Lucite heels are not the norm.

She is the least coordinated kid I have ever met (my genes) and yet loves physical activity. She is a delicate pixie with an inner banshee. She likes slides and swings and chasing after a soccer ball. She loves building forts and hiding places when inside the house. Loves being outside but she hates bugs (again, my genes). Music, singing and dancing are a big hit with her.

It is hard to tell what is going to rock her boat. Constantly surprises me.
